Frequently Asked Questions
Which program do most homeowners choose?
Most homeowners choose Basic5 when they want reliable weed control and steady lawn health without going all-in.
Homeowners who want the strongest results and the fewest compromises tend to choose Premium7.
Core3 is best for budget-focused households that understand some visible weeds are part of the tradeoff.
If you’re unsure, we help match the program to your lawn — not the other way around.
If I choose the wrong program, am I stuck with it?
No. Lawn care isn’t static, and neither are your needs.
Programs can be adjusted or upgraded as the season unfolds. Many clients start with one level and move up once they see how their lawn responds. You’re not locked into a one-size-fits-all decision.
What should my lawn actually look like during summer?
That depends on the program and the weather — and we’re upfront about both.
Premium7 lawns typically hold better color, density, and weed suppression through summer stress.
Basic5 lawns remain stable but may show thinning or some weed breakthrough during peak heat.
Core3 lawns will show visible weeds between visits, especially in summer.
Oklahoma summers are tough. Our goal is managed stress and recovery, not unrealistic perfection.
Are you spraying my entire lawn every visit?
Not always — and that’s a good thing.
Each visit is based on what your lawn actually needs at that moment. Some visits involve full applications, others are more targeted. Applying products only when they provide real value protects your lawn and avoids unnecessary inputs.
Less spraying does not mean less care.
How much work do I need to do as the homeowner?
Very little — but a few basics matter.
Consistent mowing, proper watering, and basic access on service days go a long way. We follow Oklahoma State University Extension guidance and design programs that work with normal homeowner routines, not against them.
You won’t be micromanaged or blamed for normal seasonal challenges.
What happens if weather throws off the schedule?
Weather is part of lawn care in Oklahoma.
If conditions aren’t right, we adjust timing so products work as intended. You don’t lose care — you gain better decisions. Programs are built around seasonal windows, not rigid calendar dates.
Is this safe for kids and pets?
Yes, when used as directed.
We use professional-grade products applied by a Certified Applicator, following all label and re-entry requirements. Once products are dry, normal activity can resume.
What makes Newell Services different from other lawn companies?
Your lawn isn’t handed off to rotating crews.
Every application is planned and applied by the same owner-operator and Certified Applicator who designed the program.
That means:
Better timing decisions. Consistent execution. Accountability from start to finish.
No subcontractors. No rushed routes. Just professional care done with intent.
